I really like it here

Same. It’s amazing how much time I have when the algorithm isn’t shoving me endless content, trying to keep me engaged.
I still have some cool sticks that I’ve found. I need to get rid of them but I can’t bring myself to throw them out
I’ve known for the lack of privacy online for a while but joining lemmy really made me change the way I browse the Internet. I switched to Firefox with unlock origin, started to use a password manager with randomly generated passwords and got more conscious about my internet habits overall.
It’s not we, this guy is the only person posting these political memes here. I hate blocking users but posting multiple memes a day trying to push your agenda is pretty annoying.
Before I used to make a few comments a day, which is a lot for me, but now I find myself commenting less and less. The whole vibe is really different from a month ago. When I joined the fediverse I hoped we could make something better than reddit, and I still do, but there has been a rise in toxicity recently. Arguments are a good thing but most of the time they just result in insults being thrown.
Why shouldn’t people believe in whatever they want. As long as it’s not hurting anybody, there’s no problem.
I don’t understand why some people have such a big hate boner for mocking other people’s beliefs
Everybody knows what a hentai van is
Knowledge leaving my body the moment I start an exam
Right now I have five apps for lemmy, Artemis and the kbin PWA. And I also deleted two other apps earlier today.
Phone bad!!! But jokes aside phones are not the problem, the students don’t need a phone to distract themselves from studying. Banning them won’t solve a problem it would just be tach illiterate 60 year old padding themselves on the back for „getting those evil phones out of the classroom”.
Having a dedicated app is just more convenient in most cases. And apps generally offer more features and QoL improvements compared to a site. After using memmy for about a month I can’t use the official site, especially on mobile.
Currently playing Horizon: Forbidden West. I love it but it can get somewhat tiring after a while. It’s my third open world game in a row and I definitely feel the need to play something smaller and more focused.
What happened to vlemmy?
I miss r/neography. It was full of interesting conscripts by so many talented people. The hardest part about leaving Reddit was the loss of these niche communities that can’t be easily replaced over here. I also miss my country’s subreddit, it was nice place with interesting people and entertaining posts. I tried to make a replacement on Kbin but it’s just 8 people and I’m the only one posting. But this is only the beginning, the fediverse will only grow from here and we’ll start seeing these smaller communities appear.
Saw the same thing twice on one of those “advertisements”. I guess it’s probably trolling and mostly lack of moderation
