So you linked something that said that the CTC didnt last a single year and that the drug price reduction wasnt only for old people. Thanks for proving me right now can I get an admission that you were completely wrong?

You know medicare is primarily for retirees, right?

Edit: since you only read the first sentence I quoted from CBS, here’s the second:

But as the nation struggled to emerge from the pandemic in 2021, lawmakers expanded the $2,000 credit to as much as $3,600.

      and the fourth

Once it expired in 2022, the poverty rate for children soared.

I find it unsurprising they can’t understand the dems didn’t continue a policy that both was popular and helped keep children out of poverty while still arguing they’re good

Why are you using the word primarily when the original comment said “only”. Just admit Medicare doesnt only include old people, its fine.

“Once it expired in 2022” they’re not talking about the CTC expiring. There they are talking about the recovery spending plan ending. The CTC still continued after 2022.

they’re not talking about the CTC expiring.

no, just the bit Biden did, the thing that was cited as one of his major accomplishments.

and c’mon; Insulin is cheaper for Medicare recipients. Insulin is cheaper for the elderly. It is, in effect, the same statement. You really quibbling over wording to try and scrape together a point?

Medicare includes disabled people of all ages and Insulin is used for people of all ages. Sure majority of the users are elderly but so what elder will always require the most medical care and any effort to bring that cost down for them is great.

You’re the one trying to attack the policy saying it ONLY affected elderly. It didnt only affectly elderly and that’s only affecting elderly isnt a reason against it.

It’s within the governments power to lock prices. For something as medically necessary as insulin, anything less is a half measure.

It is and Biden did 10x more than just lock the price of insulin. So what’s the issue?
