I’ve used a synology as my first NAS. Using truenas now on a selfmade larger one.

The learning curve for truenas vs synology is immense tbh. I’m still not fluent in truenas usage.

You have to be a hobbyist to use a truenas. Synology is fire and forget tbh. My technologically incompetent Gen z (seriously, wtf is up with Gen z it skills…) kids/nephews could use synology. No way they would get truenas running.

That being said, I personally do prefer truenas, but I’ve put in days of works to get where it is.

What makes you assume I only have cod files on my pc? I’m not running dual boot on my pc.

Sure, he doesn’t force anyone to use Twitter. It’s still unfortunately the de facto communication platform for a lot of government agencies. It’s still an important tool for the world. Let’s hope some large governments (EU? Please?) grow balls and leave Twitter alltogether…

This is absolutely newsworthy and worth being upset about.

Not to argue about the privacy issue, but aren’t there better options than a towel? Get a phone without camera? Get one of those phones with physical switches for sensors? Get graphene OS and don’t install anything but signal? I feel the towel wrapping is not the best solution for your privacy issue.

To be honest, selling copied games also paid for my games, my CD writer and then some when I was 14-15. Took ages to copy a single CD, and it would regularly fail, but friends happily paid me 10 euro for a working copy of the latest fifa.

To be honest, books are the only form of media I don’t pirate. They deserve my money. Sucks that I have to use big shops to get them digital, but it’s so easy…

After some more thinking, I guess the original piracy has to come from somewhere :)

While it was an interesting read, the article is quite outdated and the author is overly negative of literally everything, not just privacy. If a browser has a glowy button, it’s horrible because it’s too fancy… I feel for the guy…

I tried using it. Putting my phone down on any surface would trigger it. Made my biometrics completely useless. Too sensitive on my device, even on the lowest settings :(

My Instagram is full of fitness content (and good looking people tbh). Nothing comes even remotely close on pixelfed. No offence to federated social media, but we all ain’t good looking :) (or suck at using filters…)

Don’t want to get into a whole argument, But ltt suggested to stop throwing dirt. GN turned around and just continued slinging dirt. Just feels weird to me.

A whole lot of shit slinging at LTT for no real reason. At when LTT rebuked the claims and suggested to stop doing so and work together in the future, GN just decided to double down and continue.

He got multiple olive branches offered to stop the drama and he just threw them on top of the fire. He’s being a manchild for no reason.
