I don’t know about your situation but it is okay to not have any aspirations. I had one aspiration which is kind of a cop out because everyone wants that. I wanted to be happy with my life. I figured if I was happy I’d figure out what I really wanted to do. Once I figured out how to be happy nothing changed, I didn’t get some magical desire to do more or be more. I was happy and I was happy being happy.

Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. If you have aspirations you’ll probably feel them, and if you dont feel them then maybe you don’t have them. There’s no set way to go through life, some people have aspirations and some don’t. The only good life advice I can give is that best way to go through life is doing whatever makes you happy. It’s your life, don’t live it for what society expects you to live for, don’t live it for what your parentst want you to live for, live for yourself.

Kids are absolutely post main story content. You better have your life in order and your aspirations met because you’re about to do some serious compromising when you throw a kid in the mix. I think one of the best decisions of my life was to fulfill my needs before having children.

You need to progress the story to a certain point and I think you also need to be a certain level. I would recommend being high level because some of the content is definitely felt designed for high level.

Actually I’ve grown more fond of my ultrawide monitor and I don’t really couch game anymore, so I haven’t bothered to troubleshoot why it does that.

I agree that my specific issue is an uncommon one as it took a bit of digging on the web to find a working solution, and that alone isn’t an indication that the official dock is bad. The purpose of my comment was to shed light on the fact that it’s not as plug and play as the Switch dock is. You can’t just buy the official dock and expect everything to work.

Maybe a third party dock works better. I don’t really know, but it’s something to look into when you plan to buy a dock for the deck.

If you have a dock. Maybe I’ve been unlucky but I don’t recommend the official dock. Every time I want to use the deck in a docked mode I have to rewire everything in the correct order to get the dock to output a normal resolution. Wire it in the wrong order and you either get no output or you get low resolution output with weird artifacts.

To be fair, Rockstar also released RDR2 between the two GTA games.

Kinda meh list. No mobas, either LoL or Dota2. No racing games, NFS underground or NFS Most wanted should be on that list. Not even the OG Modern Warfare which should 100% be on any top 100 games of all time list. Too many games that were released in the last 5 years.

And it’s not like the list is that stacked you couldn’t fit those games in. Dave the diver? Really? I enjoyed Dave the Diver but I’d put Fez higher than Dave the Diver. Ghosts of Tsushima? Even they themselves say that game does nothing revolutionary or unique. You could throw out either Morrowind or Skyrim because they 90% overlap. Armored Core is there only because they love From. I love From but I don’t think that fits the 100 and I think Sekiro barely fits. I think you can also throw out Prey (2017) because you already have Deus Ex and the latter has been far more influential.

And no Terraria? I’m just going to stop. The more I think about the list the angrier I get about how bad that list is.

But why? As the lead designer in the article states, if the game is good who cares what engine they’re using. The creation engine isn’t holding Bethesda back. Just imagine if Starfield had released on Unreal instead of Creation engine? Would fewer loading screens and better facial animations have saved Starfield? I don’t think so. The engine was not the issue with Starfield, the piss poor game design was the issue. Unreal engine isn’t going to solve boring perks, boring quests and a bland world.

If TES6 comes out on creation engine 2 or 3 or whatever, and it’s the next big thing like Skyrim, nobody is going to give a shit that it’s the same engine. People might actually be angry if it’s not on the Creation engine because that would mean modding is going to take a huge hit. Every current Bethesda game modder would have to learn how to mod Unreal engine and I can near guarantee it’s going to be a lot harder than modding Creation engine.

Typical market manipulation. If they had any real consideration of buying out the company we wouldn’t even know about it. Such discussions happen behind closed doors and don’t come public until the offer has to be put on the table (or it becomes old news and nobody cares if it gets public). It was all just to bring up the stock price, so the situation wouldn’t look that desperate.

It’ll be interesting to see what Sony will do considering they’re not going to pull PC players to PS and PC ports open to door to piracy which is definitely going to increase with the PSN shit. I doubt the PSN data is so valuable they’re just going to let people pirate their games. Either they’re going to pull out the PC market to prevent piracy or they’re going to get rid of the PSN for PC. The latter makes too much sense so it’s probably going to be the former.

What are you on about? Almost every top person working on Starfield has been there since the days of Oblivion/Fallout 3. Bethesda in general is known for high retention, there’s a lot of the old guard there.

If anything you should be complaining that there’s not enough new blood in Bethesda.

Everybody doing it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a bad thing for customers and a reason for piracy.

But that’s on Nintendo. For those people the game doesn’t cost $70, it costs $200+ even if they buy a used Switch lite. Nintendo is deliberately leveraging their games to make people buy their console when those people just want to buy the game.

They want to have their cake and eat it too, and that is most likely one of the biggest reasons people pirated TOTK.

Reviews definitely don’t paint a good picture of it.

There’s also FAQ that on the initiative page but the video is more comprehensive (43 questions instead of the 17 on the site) because it’s made after the initiative FAQ and goes more in-depth concerning the specific grievances people brought up. And I didn’t expect anyone to listen to the whole video, the video is timestamped so you could find whatever specific grievance you might have.

There’s a whole FAQ which I’m sure also clarifies your problems with the initiative.

So another 5 years? IMO HDR is the perfect example why protocol development needs to be sped up. HDR is roughly a decade old at this point and (if we exclude custom implementations) we’re still in the process of working it out.
