No they just have no replacement for it yet other than the inbuilt RDP app that comes with Windows (or third party apps). I don’t believe the protocol itself is changing
Even better than that, the old remote desktop app from the Windows store is being discontinued and has a banner at the top telling you to use the Windows app instead. The new Windows app does not support RDP on Windows:
Is it better than zsh or bash with their corresponding completion packages installed?
I thought the N150 was supposed to be really low power?
Why would that break on Debian 13?
Also make sure that when you start the VPN first and then tailscale, you don’t get a double tunnel situation where tailscale goes out through the VPN
Do you know how to check if this is the case and how to prevent it? I’d rather it wasn’t doing that but there’s a decent chance it is
Thanks, I didn’t know systemctl edit was a thing!
Thanks, in that case I’ll look into it at some point!
Does it need to be an external IP? I was going to look into setting it up soon but if that’s the case I think I’ll just stick with SMB shares or maybe try syncthing
Ah yeah that’s a pretty good use case
How does the Bluetooth work? If you’re close enough to be in bluetooth range with someone aren’t you close enough to just speak to them?
I’ve stopped casually browsing Reddit but sometimes it’s the only way to get somewhat decent search results
Seems promising but it looks like they’re still working on adding stuff like suggestions at the moment which I can’t do without. I’ll give it a proper try once they’re implemented
Hmm I’ll give that a try, I don’t think I’ll stick with 60Hz but it will be interesting to see the difference
How does CalyxOS bypass the root detection?
Don’t notifications only work if you install it with Google play services though? I need notifications to work reliably
Yes Tailscale or perhaps just a direct Wireguard VPN is something I want to look into at some point. I want to get everything else on my server set up first before I worry about external access though (I’m also slightly paranoid about exposing anything to outside connections even if it is as safe as Tailscale)
Oh I never realised Xiaomi wasn’t available in the US. But yes I agree, I was interested in CalyxOS and LineageOS until I realised they weren’t even as secure as stock Android. LineageOS still interests me slightly just because of how unrestricted it is, but I probably won’t try it unless I have major issues with GrapheneOS
When you first set it up there is an option to set a custom filesystem, I selected that and then chose the default which just sorts by year and day
