I found Majuular earlier this year, and watch his videos to fall asleep to. The in-depthness of his videos are a treat, he’s got a voice that doesn’t get annoying to me, and he allows me to see older games in a new light. Highly recommend!

I see, and understand your points. The reason I enjoyed King’s Field/Shadow Tower/Souls was the exploration aspect, which Lunacid does really well.
I agree with the anime characters, for sure. It was very jarring to run into the girl the first time. I couldn’t help but feel like I was playing a different game all of the sudden!
What did the developer say to dislike them, again, if you don’t mind me asking?
Awh. As someone who played King’s Field through emulation, with “cheats” to give it modern controls, I loved Lunacid! I actually beat it 100% by following a guide online.
What did you not find to your liking, if you don’t mind me asking? :)
Definitely not, no. It was a high quality product to begin with, so mods weren’t as needed/wanted.
I’m glad you can play Fallout 4 without mods. I really just use mods that make the experience better than vanilla such as:
The AWFUL dialogue options they did for Fallout 4
The bad voice acting for my character
The lack of options for character creation
The lack of diversity between characters and the armor/guns they use
And any cool clothing/armor/weapon mods I would like to use or add to my companions
OH and changes to the AI for the companions and enemies to make them just a wee bit better than just standing there in the open like a fool
The Witcher 3 has had plenty of very good mods, though. And modding is so important to people that CDPR is releasing a whole ass modding kit, so…
Without mods, Bethesda’s games would not have been so consistently played since:
2011 for Skyrim’s FIRST release
2014 for Fallout 4’s FIRST release
Saying that mods aren’t important, is actually kind of weird. Without those mods keeping the games afloat through the internet ether, they would not be AS popular as they are today.
People STILL play Fallout 3 and New Vegas TO THIS DAY, because of mods that LITERALLY allow the game to be played as crash free as possible.
From that context, I would assume mods are pretty damn important for these games.
I mainly use the Deck to play retro titles, and use my desktop rig to play newer or more demanding games. It was worth every penny, thanks to being so easy to set up for the retro games!
I use a VPN at all times, because I want to, and I have now learned to not Google anything as it takes me to these CAPTCHAs that I refuse to do. Bing may be crappy too, but at least it doesn’t block me from a simple search. There is no reason, in my opinion, to block a VPN from SEARCHING something. Disgusting.
I guess I meant casual in a “I love Linux, and what it stands for, but I don’t know all the intricacies that make it.” :P
But thank you!
IT’s so crazy to run into a comment that speaks about this. I recently got the urge to play Mass Effect, and wanted to replay through the series. I have had the game bought when it went on sale. I download all 100+gb of the game, and launch it to see some performance. EA app required. I might just request a refund, and then pirate the game, to be real with you all.
I fucking love KDEs Windows 95 theming for some of the interface, while still looking sleek and fast as hell. That and the Plastik theme for the minimize, fullscreen, and exit buttons. :)
I agree, although I do like a MacOS-like dock, because when I was a kid using Gnome, I always loved the dock it came with by default. I’m a filthy casual though, so I can see why some don’t like the docks.
Considering how much time and effort NexusMods has put into creating a very good website to host the mods, AND a very good mod manager (not the first iteration, that was really bad) to download and install the mods, I have nothing but respect for them. Granted, I bought a lifetime from them, because I had been using the site since I was a child learning what modding even was. Now, when I tell me friends about how easy it is to grab a Collection, and it installs everything the way it needs to be so you can just get to gaming, I love them even more. Getting people to try modding their games was frustrating as hell before because not everyone spent their entire adolescent free time on the computer trying to install mods that were never going to be playable because you were too young to understand why your computer was not powerful enough to run it!
Hi! The art direction is definitely one of the top selling points. The gameplay is the top, art direction second, story is third. That is my opinion at least, as the story kind of shoehorned you into choices I didn’t want to make, but I understand it is not my story. It is the story of Jin that I have a little wiggle room to change up slightly.
For anyone not wanting to play 76, and to try Fallout 3/New Vegas for the first time, or for a different run, I HIGHLY encourage you to get the Tale of Two Wastelands mod. Once set up (I got ALL the optional mods that they have a link to or something) you will have a better experience than vanilla Fallout 3, and more cohesion between the gameplay of FO3 and NV.
I had also replaced the HDD with an SSD. :(
I replaced the battery and RAM on a Macbook Pro 8,1 running Pop_OS recently and the damn thing didn’t even work better. The battery still only lasted around an hour or two on medium brightness and YouTube @ 720p. Absolutely garbage, and it really made me feel like a fool for spending the extra money on that damn thing.
Also, since it looks like you’re on iPhone, Paprika 3. Worth every penny.
And if you are not the most tech savvy, read through the options to make sure it is what you need removed. Removing everything might break some things, because M$.
I can safely say that removing the telemetry is absolutely essential. Remove it from Firefox, and (ew) Chrome (ew, ew) alongside Windows telemetry because fuck that shit.
Would’ve been more if they didn’t drop the ball so badly!
