Just Ubuntu. I have tried plenty of others but Ubuntu just seems to tick most boxes for me.
EDIT: I am looking forward to the new Pop! when it comes out, I will surely give it a try, No idea if I will switch then though.

Best I can offer is a static variable in my next coding round.
I have to change annually as I don’t do the mileage, If I did a 6k change on my Skyline it would be every 10 years… LOL. I use my T3 a lot more but still can’t get anywhere near the distance, So once a year at some point (Usually just after an MOT) I just service them.
So it’s just loosened up nicely then :) Enjoy the next 250K miles.
Looking good, Great colour :)
Here in the UK parts for these old VW’s are very easy to find quite often, I got evenything I needed for this project including some rather good aftremarket body panels. Even my T2 which is a changeover year 72 I was able to get everything for. I would rate VW parts as being resonable price. The Skyline is the one that can get expensive but is also well supported by the aftermarket.
I used to have a T2 bay when I was in my late teens, And I always thought the T3 was a cool van, So when I got some funds and time I just bought one. Kindof on a whim. My dad has owned a lot of T2’s, So I was working on them from a young age. I have a T2 as well but I like the T3 better :)
Cockup Thursday, Tell us about your biggest cockups when working on cars, Provide pics if possible :)
Now you’re asking :) I use a Devilbiss Gun with top feed and a 150L compressor with water trap and regulator, As for the paint, All I know is the mixed the colour 50/50 with thinners but the clearcoat was 2K. All that over a high build primer. I leave the details to my local motorfactors who have paint experts, They find out what you are doing and set you up with the right stuff and the technical data. My Vans are both just 2K. Painting cars is really my weak point, Hence my nerves at using a 2 stage on the Skyline.
Thank you, It was my first time using basecoat and clearcoat metallic, I was not confident but it turned out quite well, Needs more polishing to really finish it off. I have owned this car nearly 20 years now.
I am unhappy with a couple of bits like the headlamps and mirrors, They are easy enough to fix later though.

Engine after rebuild
Engine pic. This project has been put on hold while I work on the Skyline.
EDIT: I have no idea why my pics are rotated…
The wings and bonnet are carbon fiber, So I left some exposed.
We are all busy working on our cars :)
I would quite like a project car sub, This one doesn’t feel very focused. That’s my thought anyway.
EDIT: I just added my 3 project cars, I have literally thousands of pictures of the work, I may try and compile a cross section post of the work I have done on each at some point if people might like that.
I used a VM to install Windows 10 the other day and the installation process alone was enough to remind me why Windows 10 will be my last Windows, Navigating 20 questions then having to uninstall about 30 apps some of which will reinstall at next update, Infuriating tbh. I seem to have settled with Mint Cinnamon, It’s been working perfectly.
Snap, Just done the same on my Skyline, But mine are green :)
The Nissan RB and Toyota JZ. Obvious choices, But also the VW Aircooled flat 4 is somewhat iconic I feel.
Hope you have fun learning C, I use it at work and quite enjoy working with it :)
Not really a truck guy but I quite like the look of that.
