Kbin doesn’t have that option. I have kbin and thinks it’s better than Lemmy but there’s not enough customization or apps at the moment for me to make that switch.
Here to peacefully gay the pray away, by force!

Not at the moment. You can only select three sort type for posts and your default homepage. But these are in the works.
Yes it does. It’s a hard setting for your Lemmy profile that is applied to your account, which effects your apps. Some apps allow you to change this in the settings.
And I thought I was done with my scrolling addiction…
I blocked all the Reddit communities and instances. Lemmy needs to be it’s own thing which require community involvement, not reposting shit posts from Reddit.
There have been major updates on each app nearly everyday and the devs are great at intending requests. At first, you could only view posts with no option to post or login.
I really like Jerboa, which has been down the past week after the latest update. It has a clean layout, can be fast, and is the best for posting but lacks in a few areas that the others have.
Connect has been the snappiest, it loads thumbnails and has a more clearly defined “thumbnail click area” to a “title text /comments click area” then other apps.I love to swipe to upvote. But, I frequently get an error some posting, which leads to double posts.
Summit had the best layout, list 2, which feels more comfortable an be the dev said he’ll add left handed mode, which would be nearly identical to rif. It has a history feature so I can go back to a post I viewed if I wanted to upvote it still. It didn’t always load the thumbnail, but I think that’s Lemmy world issue since there’s been a lot of lag this week.
Edit: I still frequently use the browser version on my phone to see my notifications and respond to posts, as all the apps give me an error while posting due to the lag.
The best method to keep track is save posts as a favorite or use an app, specifically Summit keeps a history of all posts you’ve visited.
I keep switching between Summit, Jerboa, and Connect
Lemmy is in a sweet spot that old early 2k forums had. Active enough to engage with people but small enough where it’s not trashy and circle jerky.
I thought it was going to end at midnight… Didn’t even get one last chance to browse shit posts after work.
How else am I going to interact with a post so I never have to seen it again lol
This is great! Hopefully we will be around 50k before the 30th so when people check out Lemmy they will see it’s active and join.
I think he’s hot… this is awesome!
Voat was great at the beginning until it became a right wing cesspool. But 90% of the posts were about Reddit and circle jerking about how Reddit was so bad. I’m blocking posts/communities that talk about Reddit here to help clean it up.
I have been sorting by hot and upvoting most everything so it disappears and my page stays fresh. That’s how I found this post. How is hot broken?
The last few days I have been learning specific things about my hobby. Of course, when googling questions the answer is on Reddit as the top result. So from am outsiders perspective the blackout was annoying.
I’m sticking with Lemmy but using Reddit for smaller niche hobby subs, like digimon, Gunpla.
