  • I’ve been opting out of every single one, but some companies are assholes and make you send it in through a written letter (Meta) or worse, automatically accept it if you’ve even just used the app/site/product after they send an email to you regarding changes. The fact that massive corporations also say all matters must be resolved in small claims court and with mandatory arbitration with the company’s arbitrator is incredibly illegal sounding. Fuck you AT&T. They were the company who fought for revoking arbitration rights in contracts. The Supreme Court decided it was legal.

  • The scammers always have a field day with elections because so many people are too politically charged to do research. By LAW, every US campaign has to have the actual name of the person who’s sending texts and if it doesn’t, you know it’s a scam. If you have T-Mobile, you can forward the text to 7726 (SPAM) and they’ll shut it down. Never ever respond to these. Don’t even say “STOP” because then they’ll know it’s a number connected to a real human and not a business… a human they can scam.

Yup! Human composting is only legal in Vermont, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado right now.

That channel gets enough wrong that I can’t support it. The biggest thing wrong that I’ve heard a million times is that you don’t have to be embalmed. If there is going to be a viewing, more than 48 hours after death, even just with next of kin; there, legally, has to be embalming to stop the biohazard risk in most states. If you want a direct burial or cremation, you don’t need to be embalmed; but if the public will be around the deceased, embalming is almost always required. Even in those that aren’t mandatory after 48 hours, there’s a massive liability waiver because of how dangerous it is, and you won’t be able to touch them without gloves.

It’s allowed in Colorado, Vermont, Oregon, Washington, and California, so definitely becoming more widespread. I’m not sure if you need a specific mortuary, but the one I worked in Colorado (before the law passed) would work with all sorts of programs; Science Care (body donation), organ donation programs, the companies that turned your cremated remains into diamonds/glass art/coral reefs, the ones that shot cremated remains into space or had it mixed with fireworks or tattoo ink. There are a LOT of options for you postmortem 😅

Washington Colorado, California, Oregon and Vermont currently allow human composting, but the idea is spreading. Cremation, embalming, burials at a cemetery, even green burials are awful for the environment. They all require either chemicals, the use of gas, or the use of heavy machinery; sometimes all of them. The aforementioned states made it in such a way that you’re giving back to the environment and it’s a fuck ton cheaper. (Still need a Funeral home involved for transportation, biohazard protection, permits, government docs, etc. So it’s not free, but much more affordable)

  • I have to fight every time I am suffering. It’s ridiculous.

    • Bad cramps; must be normal period pain… Nope! Severe Endometriosis that required surgery.

    • Exhausted all the time; must need to exercise more… Nope! Narcolepsy!

    • Joint pain and weakness; you could afford to lose 10lbs… Nope! Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

    • Passing out going from heat and movement; change your diet and drink more water… Nope! Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome

    • My feet are always freezing; wear more clothes… Nope! My veins are literally leaking (found this out on the 30th)

    • Headaches where I blackout and slur words; must be hormones or poor nutrition… Nope! Hemiplegic Migraine Disorder and TIA(mini strokes)

    • Getting spacey, dropping things, memory issues; must be a hypochondriac… Nope! Seizures.

    • I fought for 7 years to get sterilized because my health problems are genetic and was told I was too young to make that decision (at 24) and that my ex husband might change HIS mind about wanting kids so they wouldn’t do it.

I’m so sick of doctors not listening to me because I’m a woman who is not even remotely fat, but has a pronounced hourglass figure. (Size H chest)
