I did read it, however the article never really called him out on it.
I get that journalists shouldn’t express opinions, and this article does manage that at least. However they should at least clearly display contradictions and hypocrisy, such that no reader can walk away without recognising it. This article doesn’t quite meet that bar - someone hooked on this paedophile’s lies could walk away after reading all his quotes and still think he’s fair minded.
I think the real reason the discussions on reddit have been in decline is because
Wait did sh.itjust.works do anything? I thought the story was that beehaw.org cut them and lemmy.world off, but only for people browsing on beehaw.
Make an account in another instance, there are lots of them.
After paedophile Steve Huffman has been caught lying so many times, why should anyone believe a word he says?
Honestly I kind of wonder if this is all some kind of coordinated power grab to crack down on public spaces in the build up to 2024 elections.
I like to give it slightly wrong answers first, then right answers on the second attempt. Because they’re blatantly using it to train AI (for free, without paying users for their work), I want to poison the data. The first one tells it that it’s guess is wrong, the second one proves I know what I’m talking about - if you do everything wrong it will just discard your training data.
Shhhh don’t tell them that!!
I want reddit to die. It had its day, and what we have now is a poor reflection on what it was and what it’s supposed to be. Change is a good thing, it leads to improvement and making things better.
The sad thing is they are personally affected, they’re just too damn ignorant to know. Even worse, they cling to their ignorance, which is frankly the worst sin a human being can commit.
Meanwhile I kick the blanket off one or both feet and varying portions of my leg to cool myself off. Heatsink ftw!
Let Lemmy grow. Growth and low effort pun threads is not what killed reddit. Corporate interference and shit stirring controversy spewing algorithms in the name of “user engagement” is what drove reddit down the drain.
u/spez is Steve Huffman (if you even genuinely believe he’s been running the account these days).
The u/spez account will likely die along with his position. Meanwhile, Steve Huffman will get a golden parachute and laugh all the way to the bank.
Do not forget his name is Steve Huffman. Also, do not forget that he used to be a mod of r/jailbait and is almost certainly a paedophile.
u/spez will be gone soon. Remember his name: Steve Huffman.
Also remember that he used to moderate r/jailbait.
His name is Steve Huffman, and he’s a former mod of r/jailbait and as such a paedophile.
Duuuuuude they didn’t wait long did they? And they attack r/adviceanimals, one of the core subs, even though it isn’t one of the defaults anymore.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve Huffman brings back r/jailbait. The fucking dirty paedo.
Relay was my go to app also, something about the flow of the app UI always appealed to me more than any other apps. So much so, I continued using it even after I found the paid app included trackers (these can be blocked with Warden, a rare app scanner you can find on github).
However even if I wanted to stay on reddit I don’t think I’d pay a monthly subscription.
Reddit really should be paying users, not the other way around. They steal our data for free and seek to profit from it.
