Good times create weak men who think those good times came out of nothing and want an easy excuse on why they are being deprived of something they thing they are naturally entitled to. This excuse usually ends up being believing those who the good men who created those good times fought against.

There’s a reason the American revolution wasn’t just a group of people known for just peacefully protesting and criticizing until a new king rolled over.
The bigger problem is that politics today isn’t BS association to what “left” is versus BS association to what “right” is, it’s becoming those that are willing to work within a system versus those that are just willing to exploit it. Trying to map out left and right is a concept so absurd no amount of coordinate systems is going to make people across language barriers and international barriers agree on how you label them.
Reasonable people that disagree are going to have more disagreements than an echo chamber masking a defrauding scheme that is open to be bought by the highest bidders.
Fun fact, I once alluded to this on reddit’s worldnews and they associated me with Hitler because apparently trying to say there is more than one dimension is trying to whitewash Nazism.
Troll factories can get defensive, don’t touch what they work with.
TheObviousSolution@lemm.eeto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Religions have some of the wackiest rules62·3 months agoYou can tell when a tradition was set in by the hidden undertone it allowed to play for it. “Time for your circumcision… Whoops! Guess you are my eunuch surrogate now, totally didn’t mean to eliminate the competition / your genes from my gene pool of surrogates!” Yeah, probably looking too much into it, it’s not like it’s a practice associated with a culture heavily associated with a god’s chosen master race ideology or anything. Totes just a coincidence that it was fabulously sported by the slave loving Egyptians and cultures famous for their obsession with slave land owners of the times as a “rite of passage”. /actualshitcomment
Game companies can get my sympathy when wages begin to keep up with inflation. Otherwise, it belongs to the pirates and emus. You can “it’s not their fault” all the way to “doesn’t matter, it’s still my problem”.
TheObviousSolution@lemm.eeto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK in the U.S., you can buy produce directly from black farmers and they will ship it to you. It can cost less than your supermarket and will piss off people in power.22·5 months agoWill it? What will eventually happen if this gains any sort of popularity is that those people you think it will piss off will simply set up their own “grass roots” alternative the directly competes with them by gaslighting them about their “horrible practices they don’t want you to know”, along with funding “white farmers against bullshit affirmative action racist against whites” types of movements as the cherry on top.

It isn’t the case for everyone, try not to buy from assholes if you can.

Do yourself a favor and buy these individually if at all so you can stop the subscriptions at any time without worries.

TheObviousSolution@lemm.eeto Games@sh.itjust.works•The Elder Scrolls 6 Announcement Is Now as Old as Skyrim Was When The Elder Scrolls 6 Was AnnouncedEnglish31·6 months agoTruly, because on top of that it will compete with The Elder Scrolls MMO for income and have much of the same whaled playerbase interested in it.
TheObviousSolution@lemm.eeto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Skyrim teaches a Lemmy user about fascist propaganda151·6 months agoI don’t think you seriously know the lore of the Elder Scrolls and the way it usually works out, and are really projecting your own prejudices without realizing it. The Forsworn are a take on Breton mythology in The Elder Scrolls universe, and The Elder Scrolls universe is essentially all about subverting the expectation of what you thought the past really was like, what it truly was like, and the transposition of both of these into the same time frame. Hell, the whole concept of Aedra and Daedra may be a literal manifestation of this dichotomy at the “god/demon” level, “may be” because in true Elder Scrolls fashion the lore never tells you in an outright manner and just drops hints within the lore.
Neither the Empire or the Stormcloaks were supposed to be wholly good options, the player was supposed between distinctly flawed options, where siding with the Empire might very well have been the best in an imperfect world option. I suspect that the fact that the player base was as divided as they were between the two is why they went the complete opposite end of the spectrum in Starfiled and just slapped you with the “this is what you were supposed to choose!” companion commentary.

Moron says things that reveal he doesn’t even know the country of who he’s speaking about. You are a complete utter moron, a complete utter fool, and frankly, utterly disgusting. Go fuck yourself, you self admitted troll. Mods and admins who look at this comment, do yourself a favor, look at his profile and ban him. Ban me too, but I’m not going to respect shit like him.
Some people need social networks and a large number of users to create the bubbles of ideology they eventually become trapped in. Some people are capable of doing that all by their lonely self.
Now is time for the “well, if we don’t develop it first, the bad guys will” superpower to show itself off, I guess.
