This reaches a level of poetic justice that I don’t recall seeing since Herman Cain got an award named after himself, and I’m not sorry about that at all.

It’s really not any worse than you probably have already seen on the internet. There’s blood and his reaction / slumping / etc but really not much else.
I run this pretty much exact setup, with Windows and Linux on 2 drives.
Definitely run 2 drives.
Set the main boot in the BIOS to the Linux drive, you can get grub to recognize windows so your boot menu goes to linux by default, but you can still select windows if you feel like slumming it. This keeps windows from messing with Grub.
Just use your rear view mirror. Point it directly backwards and there should still be enough light to annoy the hell out of them. I do it regularly on my morning commute and it is very effective.
Covid was also a top fatality result of police for a while there. Just showcasing their amazing decision making skills as they refuse to get vaccinated.
Clearly they represent the best of the best there.

It’s the default reponse to a shitpost like the above mainly. 80,000 plants don’t make a good hamburger unless the cow does the work processing it into beef first.
Find me a plant that tastes like a nice hamburger and I’m sold.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•When your company lays you off despite making record profits last year/quarter
4·3 years agoSince I’m in an at will state that’s always the risk, and HR will always lie to cover the ass of the company given the chance. But they still need people, and distributing that information only erodes their ability to keep people in the dark. They can’t fire everyone that has spoken about wages in my case, we’re simply too shortstaffed, and if I got fired I could be picked up easily by another company.
I know plenty of people aren’t in that kind of favorable situation but it makes it easier to do the right thing. The bonuses I’ve seen our execs get would easily cover raises for the lower staff with room to spare.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•When your company lays you off despite making record profits last year/quarter
27·3 years agoThe company I work for has a different strategy. They separated when reviews, and therefore raises and bonuses are given from the upper management to the lower level staff. Lower staff go first. When it comes time for lower staff raises and bonuses there’s talk of ‘tightening belts’ and ‘bracing for a recession’ during communication meetings. A few months later when it’s time for upper management it’s ‘Record profits!’.
Of course the lower level staff are given bonuses and raises based on those poor projections, while upper management gets theirs based on record profits.
If you keep your long term lower staff happy with very low raises and bonuses you not only save the money for your upper management in the short term, but also ensure that long term even a return to normal raises saves them money overall.
This is why I remind my coworkers that it is federally protected to share your wage and discuss it. They only get away with this if the long timers don’t speak with the new hires and realize how badly they’re being shafted.
Lifted trucks. My assurance goes up 10x if they have rims and tires meant for the road.

What do you mean it’s possible for a multi millionaire ceo with a mansion and a private jet to lose touch and not want to change? Preposterous.
