The only way this is marginally correct is if he is comparing to the money needed to create an AAA title. And in the end the company making the AAA title will have the cost operation to host/distribute and have all the others features Valve offers if they decide to do it in their own storefront.
What I found most interesting is that the real alternative of cutting down Valve is giving the money that Valves make to multiple others shittier companies. In the end of the day the money will not go to the people that’s actually work on the game.
Well the biggest offender for me was “steam operation cost near zero while their cut is 30% for the publishers”.
That’s just a lie.
This dude again? His other video about valve has so many mistakes
Edit: Btw I think this deserve a thumbs down for the clickbait hyperbole shit title alone.
This shit is compatible with Linux no?
There are more chinese companies that gamers could go with the “chinese spyware” bullshit like mihoyo or Riot games(with that bullshit anticheat), some people accuse of “chinese spyware” of course(the reptilian brain of gamers can’t go without some racism) but the majority play their games. But Epic? I bet that if they did anything positive the “chinese spyware” against them would almost disappeared from the internet.
Nah they give plenty of reasons to be disliked only the crazies go to “Chinese spyware” conspiracy bullshit.
Look at the games banned on Germany.
If they use windows they also know what a GPU driver is, if they use AMD that’s better on linux, they don’t need to know what a GPU driver is. Unless of course the “normal” user need a rocm driver.
And it’s why Windows became the de facto standard: single UI, consistent toolset.
No so true after win 7, there’s a bunch of legacy menu.
AC: Black Flag could be great if was not an AC, just Black Flag and the game didn’t age quite well to me, tried to replay recently and is boring to me.
Ubisoft doesn’t often make bad games but they never make great games either, they are always 4/10, 5/10, 6/10. The only thing that I can give a better score to is Child of Light. Took long enough for this shit to start losing money.
Fedora the cat stay in a weak and each day he go closer to take some medicines we found out that she was pregnant and each day he go closer to take some medicines.
Is Linux As Good As We Think It Is?
No, it’s better.
Seriously, when something that I paid for it doesn’t work is annoying when something that I choose to use doesn’t work is somewhat my fault, I think that’s the difference.
It collects phone numbers of its users, which can be used to identify people making it a data collection tool that resides on a central server in the US. By cross-referencing these identities with data from other companies like Google or Meta, the government can create a comprehensive picture of people’s connections and affiliations.
That’s fuck up. I always found bad to have the phone number as requirement but that’s make a lot of sense.
Wow, looks sick.
For what he said is more that when he search for something he only finds CLI commands, he just doesn’t know about the GUI controls.
What do you think?
There’s any downside to just pirate the game instead of getting it for “free” and risking your data to a big corp?
I never understood the appeal with Xbox Game Pass.
Like you’ll have the game available for you while you pay for it, ok, but what happens when some license disagreement occurs and the game is removed or is removed because of censorship? Why not just pirating that game if buying is less interesting than paying for a subscription.
Not only that what happens when eventually a game is released only via subscription model? How people gonna pirate it? We need to hope that someone will upload the installer on the web? What happens when the game is not install on your machine but instead is the stupid idea of streaming? How pirating works for that type of shit? If people can’t pirate it, how the game is preserved when they are removed from the library like I said before? That’s for me the biggest concern.
You mean because of the recent discovered flaw?
