I don’t know what part of what I said prompted all those downvotes, but of course all the reasonable people understood, that the “AGI in 2 years” was a stock price pump.

I get the meme aspect of this. But just to be clear, it was never fair to judge LLMs for specifically this. The LLM doesn’t even see the letters in the words, as every word is broken down into tokens, which are numbers. I suppose with a big enough corpus of data it might eventually extrapolate which words have which letter from texts describing these words, but normally it shouldn’t be expected.
That’s nice. But it already seemed pretty accurate to me.
Yeah, I have it on Vita, Switch and Steam Deck. Cause why not. Wonder if it’s on 3DS…
Same, but then you severely undersold how old you are. Like, where’s the Space Cadet, at least?
That Windows XP Merlin though.
What happens if you put powdered milk into milk? Milk²?
When somebody says they like Proton:
Technically, there’s a bundle that includes the game for $50.
I honestly don’t see this changing any time soon because there are biological incentives behind both stereotypes. And, anecdotally, my gf (40+) will pout if in some context I refer to her as a woman, and be like “noooo, I’m a girl… :(”. Semi-jokingly, of course, but only semi.
Stereotypically, women always strive to look as young as possible, so calling one a girl can be seen as a compliment. While men, stereotypically strive to appear mature, hence calling one a boy can be considered an insult.

How can one be chronologically disappointed? Did you mean “chronically”?
It was obviously sarcasm with that 100ths precision rating.
What’s with the egg covering the PS logo?
It’s definitely not just a couple of seconds, unless you have a very lightweight OS and only 1 or 2 apps to work with. And no matter how little extra time it takes to cold boot the system, there’s still no benefit to doing it that way, so no matter how little that time is, it’s still wasted.
As I mentioned, one is free to use their computer however they wish, but it doesn’t make it not wasteful to shut it down. If grabbing something to eat was part of my daily routine, I’d grab it beforehand, instead of needlessly going back and forth, wake the computer and use it immediately.
Firstly, I normally have way more than two apps open. And secondly, in case of a few apps, I personally still value the couple minutes of my time more than I do 2% of my battery. But to each their own.
In my experience, when using reasoning models, it can count, but not very consistently. I’ve tried random assortments of letters and it can count them correctly sometimes. It seems to have much harder time when the same letter repeats many times, perhaps because those are tokenized irregularly.
