Those nakedly misandrist ads were brought to my attention after I cast my ballot.
I’ve never voted for a Republican in my life, but the Democrats will have to actually earn my vote if they ever run a candidate again, they may no longer expect me.

I actually struggled to identify what part of the screen was an ad, and I’m less able to be outraged about a TV channel displaying what content they will be broadcasting later than ads for unrelated products. Similar to how I’m okay with or even want to see movie previews before a movie, but I better not see a commercial for insurance or consumer electronics.
Did work out reasonably well in “desktop mode.” There’s a cubby in my desk I could put it, and power, video and a USB hub for ethernet and peripherals was on the side that stuck into the desk, and the SD card slot and a couple more ports stuck out of the desk for use. But oh man a lot of the details on this laptop were designed like a government website.
Okay, Dell shaming time.
On my Inspiron, there are three USB ports. Two on the right side along with the SD card slot, and one on the left side along with the charger port and the HDMI port.
One of these is a USB2.0, the others are USB 3.0. All type As, this laptop predates USB-C by about 2 weeks. The one that is 2.0 is one of the two on the right side. Dell put no markings on the chassis to distinguish them, and colored all the tongues black, no blue tongues. So if you forgot which is which you had to look down into the port for the one that only has four conductors back there.
I swear, Congress designed this fucking laptop.
There are several other gods and goddesses named in the old testament, so I’m willing to buy that the Christian god has a dick, and it’s for inserting into goddesses. And given the personality on display by said diety, I’d wager said dick could pass through the eye of a needle and still have room for the camel.
There are socialized individuals that can be handled by their trainers, but yeah they’re not house cats, they haven’t spent thousands of years adapting to humans, and they will casually maul you.

A phenomenon I’ve seen on Lemmy a lot is all of a sudden the All feed will be pages on end of the same user posting in the same community I’ve never heard of before. They get blocked. Spread that traffic out. You want people to go “oh there’s a community for that now” not “Oh my god will you comprehensively shut up?!” Lemmy.nsfw is often guilty of this.
Right now on the community for the Satisfactory game, almost all of the traffic is a guy posting “Day 44 of posting screenshots every day until I get bored.” That community is as good as dead. When it’s almost entirely one guy’s vomit pile, it’s as good as dead.

The one thing that really bugs me with old analog video that has been digitized is interlace combing. Lower resolution is usually fine, because most old TV shows knew the limitations of 480i and were engineered for it, a cooking show that listed ingredients on the screen did them in big yellow letters. But then the cook waves his hand and it looks like he’s shuffling cards and ugh.
