Any ideas on how I’d make dry cottage cheese out of it at home?

3·8 days agoI somehow doubt you can do much with pasteurized and homogenized 1% milk.
There’s a reason that most dairy products in Europe are made from raw milk.

3·8 days agoThe US and Canada are really anal about pasteurizing and homogenizing milk. It’s basically nearly impossible to buy any that isn’t. Most often it’s also just a reconstituted milk product instead. At the same time UHT is nearly unheard of.
If anything, OP should avoid shitty products in general, not because they’ve had this particular experience. Brand loyalty is stupid.
Nicotine+ seems to be FOSS slsk. At least client side.
Wtf kinda mobile service is that?

3·14 days agoI finished reading both articles and they are very heavy on conjecture. It does raise an eyebrow though, but still.
Yes, in an ideal world we would be using SimpleX, XMPP, or similar. However it was already hard enough getting ten non-tech contacts to switch to Signal. The barrier to entry is higher on other platforms or protocols.

4·14 days agoThey rely on AWS due to favourable contract in hosting it, and also proving the proof of concept that they can be hosted securely on a hostile provider, without the provider having any clues at all in what data is being sent between the parties.

You seem to be much more knowledgeable on the topic, and while I would call myself privacy conscious, I would hardly consider myself within the pricacy sphere. How would using something like bitwarden or keepassxc work with entering passwords on websites? Firefox just retrieves it from its vault (as bad as it may be from what I’m reading) and then inserts it into the u/p fields. I’ve seen LastPass in action plenty, because corporations seem to love it, and I find it anything but seemless. So how do those two aforementioned compare?
He’s an og quakeworld player running it in 320x200 sw@120Hz/fps. It’s native on Linux since 1998, so the switch for him makes sense.

I don’t have nvidia, but I’ve solved this by making the monitors never sleep automatically, unless a hotkey is pressed.
