I feel like that would be a fairly normal response. Elevators are not typically found underwater so finding yourself in an underwater elevator is not going to be a particularly reassuring experience.
Apart from anything else a cube is not a particularly good shape for holding back water pressure
It’s IKEA so like 90% of their product it’s probably a random small table for some reason everybody seems to need.
I have this issue with my soundbar on my TV. The volume has to be like 95% or it’s too quiet. But if you disconnect the soundbar and just use the TV speakers you get absolutely blasted out of the room by normal speech.
Measuring sound as percentages is meaningless.

I think people’s biggest fear with pain for the apps is that they’ll end up in a situation where they are just throwing good money after bad and not getting anything for it. Then you get into the sunk cost fallacy and it’s really difficult to get yourself out of that headspace.
The problem is the apps say that they have recommendations that you only have to pay to unlock but I don’t believe them.
Yeah and they all suck as a result.
I keep meaning to have a proper look into it and see if there are any actual dating site / apps that are independent. It’s a massive pain because usually you can’t really tell if an app is going to be any good or if it’s just another clone until after you’ve already signed up. It’s quite the time investment.
There are of course things like hobby clubs you can join but you have to get lucky with those. There risk that you will just be distracted and end up with an expensive hobby.
Yeah but that’s not dating that’s a hookup. Completely different ball game. Much easier to maintain a facade for a couple of days when both parties know that there is no potential for relationship.
Actual dating requires you to maintain for the long haul.

The most annoying thing about the self checkout is the need for you to put the entirety of your shopping on the time you weighing plate to make sure that I’m not buying my weekly shop but then sneaking a bottle of water past the system.

I feel like you didn’t read my previous comment. That is not an excuse. The problem is that they are hosting the content quite happily without doing anything about it.
That’s a lot of interaction for a boycott, and I’m sure they would just ban your IP at some point. Of course there’s always ways around that, but how much effort do you want to put into this boycott?
The biggest impact you could have on them would be for everyone to go over to Steam OS which I don’t believe they support. It would be hilarious if they were forced to add support in order to stay relevant.
I don’t think anything else would have much of an affect, because like I said their target demographic are kids, who don’t really pay attention to this stuff.
The difference here is that the content is explicitly illegal in almost every jurisdiction in the world. And it’s not as if Twitter (I’m not calling it x) is a niche platform that regulators may not have yet noticed.
It’s a huge company that’s doing very illegal things very much out in the open. That might fly in fascist land USA but I don’t see why the rest of the world should put up with it.
