Have been enjoying this app for almost 2 months, really good clear layout, smooth scrolling, with some nice options & the Dev is active & open to feedback…
I either miss the boat or jump the gun 🤷🏻♀️
Checking out the fediverse…

As long as you’re all sorted, even though I’m not quite sure why you couldn’t log into Sync with your existing instance credentials…but anyway you’re good now, thats the main thing 👍🏻
I was just scrolling on by, & even though I use a different app, or apps, your initial post was more of a general question, so I thought I’d drop in…😬 Surprised you had to change to a different instance in order to use sync …🤷🏻♂️
I don’t use Sync, but if it has access to your account settings, as many apps do, then you could change this from within the app…
As its an account setting, then yes it’s effect is global.
The option of whether to show bots or not, is’nt app specific, its in your Lemmy account settings.
Yes they are primarily Mastondon apps, but they work very well with Pixelfed, very similar looking to the proprietary app…
You could try either Moshidon or Megalodon, both of which work well with Pixelfed & available on the Playstore…
That explains it…🤦🏻♂️
I can’t believe that people actually send money to defend this prick !! Unbelievable… 🤷🏻♂️
Deep sleep the app, it’ll just kill it from running in the background…
You can have that with any app…
Absolutely, it is very good, aling with many others 👍🏻
Connect is really nice, as are Canadians👍🏼
Jerboa works well, so does Liftoff & many others… infinity for Lemmy is coming along nicely too…
Do those that provide this space earn any money??
There are plenty of apps for Lemmy, that aren’t supported by ads, nor should they be, given the whole ethos of the fediverse…
Ads have no place here…!! 👎🏻
Doesn’t this ad/subscription model, go against the grain a bit? With Lemmy & the fediverse in general, being an opensource environment, which has no ads, & funded by donations, rather than a subscription model…
So much for the land of the free.🤦🏻♂️
