Maybe it’s because I used the watermarked version I found on Google instead of paying for it. Sorry for disrespecting you Adobe!
They’re the worst. Now they’re actually putting features into vehicles but don’t activate them unless you pay more. You already own the car with the feature existing inside of it but can’t use it. What kind of bullshit is that!
What the hell do I need a copilot for?? I’ve been flying this baby solo since I got my first computer in 1996!
Ahhh…that new toaster smell!
“Looks like you’re trying to make toast? I’m here to help! What kind of toast are you trying to make?.. and did you know toast originated in the early days of…”
*Throws toaster out the window.
Most of the smartphones sold in US are not iPhones.
This is just a demonstrably false statement that’s very easily fact checked. I’m not saying that to defend Apple. I’m a Google Pixel guy myself.
Same. I would definitely be one of the people complaining if I wasn’t getting it for free.
Here here!
I never paid for prime. I hate paying for shipping though so I usually wait until I need a couple of things to get over the minimum. I recently ordered a pair of ear buds. They were $34.95 so I added a box of $1 Kraft mac and cheese to avoid paying the $8 for shipping. haha!
Is this a first time occurrence? Has there ever been any other indication of your dad’s discomfort around people wearing backpacks? There might be some history here that you’re not aware of. Some past bad experience he had. A kind of PTSD.
If the mug shot is a nice cold bottle of water, his conviction is going to feel like that scene from Flashdance. My body is ready.
I have not read a single comment anywhere on Lemmy on any post about Sync that takes it to the highly exaggerated level you made it out to be. On the contrary, I have seen many many users express appreciation to the dev and acknowledge how well the app is designed, but respectfully voice their surprise at the unusually high cost to remove ads. Just because a person thinks $20 for an app is a bit steep, doesn’t mean they think the dev is a “FUCKING WORTHLESS MORON”.
I just noticed some other comments mentioning that and didn’t realize there was a different one-time fee to remove ads. I only initially saw the “ultra” subscription options. You’re right though, $20 is a bit high but not too far off. I would pay $10 if I was sure this was the app for me. It’s honestly a nice looking app. I never used Sync for Reddit. My favorite was always Relay.
Everyone is getting bent out of shape. Just use whatever app you like best. I have 5 apps installed that I’m testing including Sync.
That being said, my 2 cents regarding Sync: I don’t mind paying for a great app like Sync, but I’m not crazy about subscription models. I know there is a one time option but $100 for a mobile app is beyond nuts.
EDIT: $100 is for the lifetime “ultra” plan. It’s $20 to remove ads.

They don’t want us to own the things we pay for.
The real answer right there.
This is mostly true however there are sometimes discounts on phones without all this shit. I just got my son a Pixel 7 yesterday (my wife and I already have one). T-Mobile took $400 off the phone and waved the activation fee. It came out to $4 a month.
Nice try AI. I’m on to you!
