Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Trump wants the NFL to change its name so that soccer is the only sport called football: ‘We have to come up with another name for the NFL stuff’

45·3 months agoI honestly didn’t realize how the fdroid deployment worked, and now I’m gonna be way less skeptical of apps I see there.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Thank G*d I grew up in the 90s. Everything is woke now. Smh my head

The gravel one is gonna have some stupid loophole, like it’s one pebble a day, but infinite and free.
I posted a comment above, but if you’re android, check out leon. Super easy to use.
I use an app called “Leon URL Cleaner” from F-Droid. Does a really good job removing tracking params, and only adds one extra step to sharing a URL.
I can confirm. Unless the code causes issues people notice, nobody thinks about it after the PR.
OSS has the benefit of people WANTING to do the work, so I feel they make more effort to make sure it’s stable and efficient. Taking the extra time for testing and random scenarios, whereas people in corporate software will more often than not simply meet the reqs of the request, and then do minimal testing, send it off to the corporate machine.
OSS also has the benefit of randos across the whole world being able to view and audit changes.

2·9 months agoI’ve even been using it for music, and audiobooks works pretty well for iOS. The only real available android client for audiobooks (Chronicle) sucks pretty bad, and is no longer under support. Lots of bugs and it only remembers where I left off about half the time. I just ftp the books to my local device and use smart audiobook player for books.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Trump, in blue, sleeping at Pope Francis' funeral
4·9 months agoI’ve read the Bible. If he’s real, he’s the biggest ass. He’s a petulant, jealous, and tantrum throwing prick. If he’s real, I want both to do with him.
Heh, yeah I’m talking about things I’ve seen on Amazon and stuff. Case with screen and data storage that can directly play to the headphones.
I would agree, but yet again, this is something I’ve seen 4 other versions of before apple gets to it.
Root, install xprivacy (or xprivacylua if your phone isn’t 10 years old).
Didn’t they quickly stop this after it became the Nazis favorite thing?

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•The fact that this is a real image is infuriatingEnglish
3·1 year agoThere’s plenty of good reasons. Have you seen his online behavior? Frequently follows and comments favorably on white supremacy groups and pages. Musk is a white supremacist. all the evidence is there. His family actively profited on, and participated in the apartheid in South Africa.
He’s shown us who he is through his own actions, and through who he praises and supports.
And to be fair, I think he only did it twice, not thrice, so my bad there.

I used Nova for as long as it’s been a thing. Paid for pro. Abandoned it immediately after they released the news a few weeks ago about the tracking and ads.
I switched to Octopi Launcher. It’s really good, and in active development. Author listens to his users and is always adding fun new features.
