Waking up to a broken nextcloud (overnight! Look, no hands!) was the single reason I finally got acquainted with docker containers

Very fair. I’ve noticed that google maps really nails the zoom level when you slow down and speed up, to show you the right amoynt of information, whereas Magic Earth doesn’t. I’ll be zoomed in on the motorway at 120 and later zoomed out in a city centre at 30, those two are incompatible.
Magic earth has been good for directions, ime.
I guess just war until the Russian colonisers are expelled, putting an end to the imperialist invasion. Stop the expansionary push to exploit weaker, foreign countries. It’s pretty clear-cut.
A spectacularly unhelpful comment. Literally worse than shutting the fuck up. At least you removed all doubt, buddy.
I’m also interested in that, please
I am about to set up HA in docker, could you let me know what problems you came across and (presumably) ironed out?
Thank you, i’m going to look into this!
Ha, i have planted a few rasoberry pi zeros running just syncthing in a few relatives’ places for that. I worry about a blackout damaging them, so i have a few. Syncthing is great, as soon as a backup is made, it whisks it off all over the place, amazing.
I have a keepass database synced between a phone, desktop and a Raspberry Pi 1. The Pi just sits as an always-on server. I don’t edit it on my phone. Here’s my problem: when I edit something on my desktop and save it I invariably get a file conflict error and have to force the Pi to accept the new ‘conflicted’ file from my desktop. Any idea why? It’s incredibly annoying!
Can i also get the hash pleaser? Sounds like a gem
Condescension is a terrible way to kindle enthusiasm. C’mon, if you know this shit, extend a hand to those who don’t.
Fuck tankie devs, support your instance.
No. Humans are more than their base instincts. Hamas should not have murdered civilians. Israel should not be abusing Gazans. Both are true at the same time.
That works when you have your profile set up,as it were. But communities I want are still absent or being formed, and my subscriptions list is not complete,so I still browse by all to get wind of new ones as they pop up. I cannot wait to retreat from all back to a curated list though.
You’re not alone. Thank fuck you said it. People create a whole new community where a single post would have achieved as much. It’s waaaay too broken down over here. I have had to block comms for each English premier league team, each fucking one. And pretty much empty comms apart from dead threads on match results.
Another 9/20er here. I did feel like I was guessing a lot, it was almost satisfying to get such a midway score.
Free speech is not an “inalienable” concept. To be honest, the adjective “inalienable” doesn’t well describe a “concept”, more “right” or a “privilege”. Nobody can take away a concept from you, only the exercise or realisation of that concept.
That said, the Lemmy dev’s code of conduct is not a binding document, and given their political views, I wouldn’t even bother opening it if I was adminning my own instance. And nobody owes you your freedom of speech - if an instance decides to enforce the rule “no talking about politics on Wednesdays”, nobody has any right to anything else. Preference, sure, but right? No.
