The people that supported trump were always going to support him and be energized to vote. That’s a big part of why focusing on his lies was such a waste of time, it wasn’t going to change any minds. Winning elections is about motivating your base, undecided voters are a wash and opposing voters aren’t likely to massively shift.

They could have distanced themselves from the current administration though. They could have acknowledged that inflation has fucked most people, and be far more direct about addressing it than vague price gouging investigations that should be happening now. They could have come out in favor of any and every union striking. They could have had policies to guarantee profit sharing or granting equity. They could have made the totally empty promise of fighting for main street and not wall street.

If you can’t come up with a single sound bite if what makes you better than a fascist, that’s on you.

It’s absolutely a problem if in a single election cycle you go from 60-70% support to just over 50%. In tight elections like the last few that is a losing formula. Especially for Latinos who are the fastest growing minority. If Republicans keep this up they could be getting almost 60% of that vote in 2024, and Democrats are suddenly the ones facing irrelevance based on voter demographics.

The results aren’t showing that though. They are showing a large amount of Democrat voters just stayed on the couch. Trump didn’t get more votes than 2020, all that was needed was an energized democratic base.

At least in the US the restrictions are vastly overstated.

Lots of people just hate stylized graphics. I don’t really understand the hate, as they tend to be more timeless than more realistic styles. Also it’s a weird statement from someone representing a franchise with multiple stylized aliens.

It’s been at least 20 years since video game “journalists” or “critics” were actually honest. Companies will blacklist anyone that doesn’t write a positive review for their games, so everything published before or on release day is advertising.

If you want honest reviews you need to wait 24-48 hours after release for real reviews. If you actually want opinions from those that completed a game you need to wait even longer.

They did change it in the remaster from thiccccc to just thicc

Isn’t the entire plot of mass effect basically all the other races being a bit racist against humans? They also neutered Krogans, and fought a war to exterminate the Rachni.

At least 40k is upfront about the hate.

There’s just too many edge cases in VR for it to be a real platform. Movement is hard, there needs to be a lot of space around a person, form factors aren’t great for the hardware, there’s more graphical requirements, etc.

Most of the failure seems to be having a massive menu that forces over use of frozen foods and massive food waste. Combined with management having no standards, so mediocre food gets worse and service becomes awful, which drives away customers.

Most every rescue is giving them a menu of 5-10 items and establishing basic standards. If kitchen nightmares chose restaurants that weren’t already completely out of runway they would be far more successful. There were way to many places that didn’t have the money to operate for 6 months to even have a chance of turning around.

I don’t know if anything really bad. It’s expensive and low quality, but that’s about it.
