Huh, pardon my ignorance but, does one not take them out regularly, particularly to sleep? I was under the impression that people generally take earrings, etc out to sleep, I guess I assumed that logic applied to all piercings generally.

This comment is a goddamn masterpiece

That’s actually a really good idea. I’m not the person you replied to, but I’m taking notes.
since OP appears to be one of Ze Germans, i’m going to take the charitable interpretation that they were probably not aware of the connotation

Reading this as a self hoster: god damn it, is there ANOTHER fucking instance I need to defederate?

That’s enough internet for me today

It’s largely an age gap I think. The first generation of FPS games on N64, PS1, etc used inverted controls, so if you’re an old man millennial like me, that’s how you learned to play.
Then in later generations (PS2/3 and on) this changed and inverted became an option, rather than the default (or in some games, only!).
Thus younger gamers are used to “standard” and older gamers used to inverted.

I’m an American living in the EU, and I’m surprised by that. All the other American immigrants I’ve met so far have been opposed to Trump and Republicans generally. I always figured the conservatives were likely to be buying into AmErIcA iS tHe BeSt propaganda and would thus be uninterested in moving to another country.

But think of the street cred!

I mean, you could approximate a phone with a lot of SBCs out there right now, if you stuck a screen onto it. A lot of them even have SIM modules. If somebody wanted to go full hacker you could probably 3D print a case for something like a Banana Pi, stick a cheap touchscreen OLED panel in there and Frankenstein up a battery. Would be a lot of work though and I’m sure getting all the shit working would be nontrivial.

Couldn’t they just restrict these games to be purchased with steam wallet credit only? You can’t buy a porn game on a card, fine. But you can top up your account with €50. Afterwards, the payment processor is out of the equation.
The entire summary on Wikipedia is sales guy bullshit. It’s barely comprehensible.
allowing businesses to streamline their operations, improve customer engagement, and make data-driven decisions. The platform is highly customizable, enabling organizations to tailor it to their specific needs and industry requirements. Dynamics 365 is designed to help businesses unify their processes, gain insights into their operations, and foster better relationships with customers.
Bruh you dropped this: synergize
What the fuck does Dynamics do? Is it some kind of shitty database?

So far I think I can live without Topaz, Photoshop and some other image stuff long term, but to be honest if that turns out to be wrong, I’m inclined to buy a cheap Mac Mini specifically for photo stuff rather than keep Windows around anymore.

I’ve been dry-running a Linux only world for a few months now, dual booting and running everything on the Linux partition, only using windows when necessary. So far basically all my games run well under proton and the few non-free programs I care about work well enough under wine. I think tomorrow is the day I blow away the windows partition.

I don’t get it. Used it for what? Why would they need leaked source engine code to make a mod for the source engine with the official SDK?

Well, I’d never heard of this mod until right now, but it’s all over the gaming press. So maybe Valve has just Streisand effect-ed themselves.

Seconding the last part. When I was in high school, the admins wouldn’t approve most after school clubs, or students displaying their artwork. Here this admin is encouraging their students’ curiosity and talents, while letting the students have real impact in their school. Grade A stuff right there.
Thanks friend! I remember GimpShop from back in the day, glad to see something else has picked up the torch.
