Hitman really is a mess, according to EGS i own Hitman 1 and Hitman 3, but i doubt i really own Hitman 3, probably is a starter pack with the first chapter as i dont think the full Hitman 3 has been given away? On top of that you enter at the shop page and everything is such a mess that i just dont have any will to install the game and try to uncover what i own and what i dont nor i have any will to pay for something that im not sure what im buying and if im paying for something i have already.

Linux@lemmy.world•Mecha Comet is a modular Linux handheld coming soon to Kickstarter for $159 - LiliputingEnglish
5·11 months agoThats actually pretty cool, they say they are going to make the the files to build your own extensions open source so i wonder if more complex controllers can be attached, stuff like twin sticks and such for better emulation compatibility, i dont know tho how the specs are for emulation

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•M*crosoft's search engine is borderline unusableEnglish
2·1 year agois it based on your searches or something? both in the browser with fingerprint protection where it thinks im from Usa and from the one where it detects my correct location the first result is from logi.com. I really hate bing, specially since they started pushing ai, but dunno, doesnt seem like the normal user experience what you are getting.

Gaming@lemmy.ml•With studio closures, why is no one talking about the people who sold the studios?English
163·2 years agoBecause a lot of studios, like for example Double Fine, sold because they couldnt pay the checks anymore, its stupid trying to blame the studios or people that sold the studios, the blame is not on them.

Gaming@lemmy.ml•Positive ‘Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’ User Reviews Split Unusually From Critics
132·2 years agoPlease, i played the closed beta, the game is terrible, the only reason it has positive reviews in steam is because of the low playerbase that is fooling themselves because they purchased already. Just check the small number of reviews and concurrent players for a game this big. The main point to make out of this article is that most people already saw from a mile away that the game was terrible from the youtube previews and closed betas

Gaming@lemmy.ml•10 Days Into 2024 And 2300+ Video Game Layoffs Have Been Announced
3·2 years agoSadly its also going to steal the position of a lot of people on AA and middle to indie size studios that need to cut costs to actually stay alive. Obviously some studios will stay afloat without cutting people or going deep into AI content but expect that to the exception not the rule.

Games@sh.itjust.works•[Creetosis] Bethesda's Emil Pagliarulo is an Incompetent WriterEnglish
2·2 years agoYeah, this guy and some people on reddit have a hate boner for Emil for some reason when he has been the lead writer since Fallout 3 and has been in several games that are loved by most people like Fallout 3, Skyrim etc. But for some reason this guy and some others started a witch hunt against Emil more or less recently, its fine if you dont like Bethesda game, i like them just fine, but stuff like this does nothing. (And no surprise this bullshit is shared by Nanoufo, number one contributor to sharing the most bullshit articles of shitty websites and youtubers tbh)

11·2 years agoIf you bothered to read my comment, i said that before anything else, i apreciate the effort of generating content. But at the end of the day its not of much use for anyone flooding a community with shitty content.

12·2 years agodsogaming is one of the most garbage “gaming” news sites, they are just a clickbaity website that does 0 research on their articles. I appreciate that nanoufo wants to keep the community alive posting a lot, but the amount of bullshit he shares from shitty websites is amazing.

Games@sh.itjust.works•Embracer Group layoffs hit Tomb Raider developer Crystal DynamicsEnglish
7·2 years agoThe title is correct, the title doesnt say its closing the studio, it says that at the developer Crystal Dynamics there are layoffs. it doesnt say that what you consider developers inside the developer Crystal Dynamics are being laid off.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•[Discussion] With the recent rumors of a possible hardware refresh, what are your most hoped for changes in an updated Steam Deck?
1·2 years agoAt the very least, a weight decrease and a bit of a more comfortable ergonomics for long term play sessions, really tired of handhelds that end in a straight vertical line that make you have the wrists in tension instead of having a similar end to controllers like the one from xbox where your wrists can be without that much tension.

Games@sh.itjust.works•6 MILLION PLAYERS have explored Ghostwire Tokyo's spooky streetsEnglish
1·2 years agoNo problem! It didnt get the best reception when it was released as it was a sony exclusive that didnt get much marketing at first, but its a nice experience all around and if you decide to go for the story it doesnt overstay its welcome and if you have gamepass you can play it there as i did, so glad i made it interesting for you!

Games@sh.itjust.works•6 MILLION PLAYERS have explored Ghostwire Tokyo's spooky streetsEnglish
2·2 years agoIts an open world first person shooter but with magic instead of guns, it happens in a Shibuya where all the humans have banished and the city is taken over by spirits/yokai both good and bad and the protagonist has to find its sister while posessed by a spirit that has his own goals but at the same time is what gives him powers, all around the story is simple but decent but the open world and lore is where it shines, a lot of missions where you get to know classic japanese folklore and help spirits trapped in this world for a reason or another. All around i enjoyed my time with it and the “gunplay” is pretty decent after the free dlc that they added when the game was released on gamepass which added a side ability to all three different guns/powers.

Games@sh.itjust.works•Starfield crosses 230k+ concurrent early access players ($100 USD)English
4·2 years agoThe headline doesnt make any sense. It crossed 230k CONCURRENT (playing at the same time right now) on steam. That does not mean that 230k players have bought the early access. They have probably more than a million or two early access players at least between xbox and pc (both steam and microsoft store) to have those numbers on steam alone in concurrent players.
