Feeler gauge tool, wrench/screwdriver, and a cheat sheet of what position your crankshaft is in for each valve. You turn it a little to open/shut the valves so they’re in the right spot to check the clearance.

Plug boots are the little grippy bits on your ignition coil that the spark plug fits into. They wear out eventually-- Rockauto.com has them, had to pop new ones on 06 rav4 because it got cranky after checking the spark plugs. (I’m not a mechanic, but a spiteful 01 Subaru owner who refused to dish out 5k for a gasket job and elected to diy.) OP, make sure you have your service manual for torque specs.

I loved my Hyundais. Granted, I didn’t have them long enough to put high miles on them. If they still made a 2 door hatch I’d be all over it, but after 2011, accents in usa only came with 4. Veloster had 3, and I loved the hp increase, but I just want a dang subcompact hatch that still has the zip when I need it.

Do you have the same light bulbs in your instrument cluster as the 01? Fuckin tachometer and speedo lights went out in my Forester and I’m a little salty. I had a ford fiesta, loved it, hated it, sold it before we moved so we wouldn’t have to tow it. Got an 01 Forester. Miss having subcompact hatches so hard, so we found an 01 Honda insight, but it’s rouuugh lol.

I’m counting down the days honestly. I prefer small manual hatchbacks and nobody’s making them. Had to sell my fiesta when we moved and even though I miss it, I’ll never buy ford again.

2001 Forester. Did a lot while the engine was out to do head gaskets. My favorite I think was acousti sealing the mega fuck out of my flange gasket. So quiet now.

I think I’m being too cowardly with the belts because I’ve had to tighten them both at least once. Don’t have a perfect 12mm to reach the vbelt pulley so I’ll have to take the damn fan off again to get it

I’ve been on Ubuntu forever, mostly because when I built my PC, it was popular. Also it’s purple. I’m not on it as much lately and need to check out new distros again.
