Well maybe. But I value the absence of needing any online service and hackability way more. Also for me, Kodi works perfectly. I have one on each TV, laptop, tablet, all synced. All I need is to open a torrent file from anywhere. But I admit, I have a hairy setup.
These freaking accidental accidents keep accidenting. It’s so annoying
nah. Plex bad. Kodi or Jellyfin

Somewhere, in the dephts of the ancient 56k web, exists a website I made with friends when we were in middle school. It’s actually still online, and half of the resources are pulled from urls like file:///D:/MegaSite/lol.JPG
This data has been lost forever, but yet, somehow, parts of that yesteryears afternoon at my friend’s are still here.

1182·1 month agoIf you want to actively shit on them, there is AdNauseam, which is a fork of uBlock Origin but in addition to blocking the ads, it clicks on absolutely everything, sending fake signals. Polluting their database is costing them money and they have to deal with all the noise.
Not for everyone, but definitely an active hostility towards these fucks.

11·1 month agoYeah… The classical “it has always been like that” when “always” means “in the past 10y”. What is 10y compared to the thousands of years we existed as a society?
Still nope.
But then that is not the logo of Hurd, and Hurd is not the point of GNU
Is that GNU at the bottom? If so, bro, this dude don’t get it.

no thanks.
