I don’t understand why so many American shopping carts have back wheels that don’t turn. It’s weird. All four wheels turn on Australian shopping carts (or “trolleys” as we call them) so you have full 360 degree motion.

In the US they are so paranoid about homeless people stealing carts, they have little strips in the parking lot that fully lock out the wheels if it goes too far from the store. Youre lucky to get a cart that rolls at all some days

They have it at IKEA and I think Costco as well. It’s fun but takes a very small amount of time to adjust.
