Some people take up knitting in retirement. Annie the Hot Rod Granny has discovered the joys of burning rubber.

      Here’s where I’m at.

I’m fine if it’s a sport. There aren’t millions of cars all over the earth doing burnouts, drifting, racing or doing downhill touge, or hitting the land speed record.

I agree, I like cars, but tires are expensive, lungs aren’t cheap either.

Relative to rich people sailing on superyaghts (just to give an example), these rubber lovers are very small fries. Both are wasteful past times, but when looked at per person, there are way more polluting hobbies than going to car events. Taylor Swift going to meet her boyfriend is another famous example.

I like watching guys build and run burnout cars on YouTube. If you think the tires are the expensive part, man are you in for a surprise.

In this case, yes. These events are not impacting your breathing and the waste is relatively trivial.

Let people have a little fun.

the engine is a big-block Chevy V8 that’s been bored out to 496 cubic inches

    496 cubic inches > Bugatti Chiron 8.0L
    The math ain’t mathin here

What isn’t mathing? 496 is bigger than 488.

The Chiron has 4 turbos and is a completely different design of engine.

Nah, she was endowed with huge jugs from the casting. Just had a crankshaft swap with a little enlargement done. 4.25x4.25 bore/stroke.

Vs the 3.39x3.39 of the Chiron
