The Columbus, dedicated to Christopher Columbus, was a 7-seater MPV van designed as an ultra-high level status vehicle ideal for the urban scenarios of the United States.

This will appeal to precisely nobody.

The year was 1992. Chevy Astro vans were decked out as Explorers for kid-hauling duty. The more car-like minivan hadn’t quite hit it’s prime and the crossover/SUV craze hadn’t taken foot in suburbs. I could see this monster making some sales. I mean, the Pontiac Trans Sport/Chevy Lumina Van made some sales and could be stylistic cousins

Honestly seems appropriate for a car named after Columbus. Maybe it’s hideous as an art piece? A metacommentary on the horrors of slavery/capitalism?
