from Wikipedia:
The labour market is traditionally characterized by a high degree of union membership rates and collective agreement coverage.
Well, there’s the problem. Our capitalists say that’s stupid, they’ll just lose money!

Don’t hurt yourself in your confusion!
Yeah, I get what you’re saying, but between more money and a ping pong table, which do you think most people would choose? If they wanted to imply a more casual/fun/less-stress environment, they should have said that, but implying a ping pong table would motivate people to stay is like thinking dangling your keys in front of a baby to stop its crying will keep it happy forever. At least a pay raise is helpful to me.
So ping pong table falls under the third point right? More ping pong = more fun = better culture? Right? /s just for clarity
Listen, speaking as an American, we know Danes have better quality of life, but we’ll be damned if we will sacrifice capitalism to get there! Our motto is “if you’re not working, you’re losing money!” That only applies to the lower ranks, of course.
Seriously tho, I would love to live in a society that expects companies to hold the well-being of their employees over profits (not that these two are mutually exclusive), and the culture is changing slowly, but we’re not there yet.
Did you look at the posts? It’s all over the comments! Would you like some more examples for your edification?
Well, in a truly “free” society, yes freedom of speech would constitute freedom from “social consequences.”
Just as people can refuse to listen, they also can refuse to interact with persons that say things that upset them. This is a social consequence, and one that would be still be present in a “truly free society”.
I don’t think it’s the opinions, I think it’s the users’ literal stated plans to harass users of other instances.
Literally a commenter on one of the linked posts:
yeah lol. I might start farming up a few accounts at the new non-overloaded instances that are popping up. Don’t need to register at beehaw itself to bug their libs. maybe somewhere has open registration
Edit to say: I support the defederation.
Some of that can be done with prosthetics and photoshop, but yes.
That was actually my first point of suspicion!
Yeah that part made me suspicious as well.
Is there proof this is a real cosplay and not an AI generated image?
This is what I’m trying to do. Be the change! And promoting those groups in !newcommunities, sub.rehab, and other related communities as allowed by the rules can bolster engagement!
No, it’s a bot to help people not give revenue to Yourube.
I’ve still got two, and I like some features on each better than the other. Kbin for instance doesn’t federate with some instances very well, doesn’t have an app (yet), and doesn’t have some of the other features of Lemmy (like cross-posting), but I like the look of it better and some of the posting features are preferable (like when posting a picture post/thread, it gives you a box for alt text). On the other hand, lemmy has a lot of great apps (I have only tried wefwef and Memmy, but I’ve heard good things about at least 3 more), allows cross-posting, federates well with both search and posts from other sites/instances, but the /all needs some work and it’s not as attractive and is missing some features I’d like. Also, sometimes, one or the other is down, so I just switch. I’m active on both lemmy.world and kbin.social.
I did this, but I just didn’t delete either accounts and it worked fine. Idk if it’s detrimental to have two of the same but it worked for me.
I tried that and it didn’t work for me. I ended up adding my account again, now I have two and I’m not sure which to delete but the app is working again!
I agree. I wish more capitalists in charge did!
