Isuzu already supplies D-Max for the Australian SuperUtes Series, and probably for the pickup category in the Thailand Super Series too. Guess the planned one-make series is largely promotional, just like those by BMW and other European manufacturers.
285 hp isn’t much for a pickup car, so it’s gonna be sort of lower-end sports cars racing, and not too surprising that people can buy these things without coughing up a kidney. However, the Chang circuit is made for GT3 racing and such, so these slow trucks will feel rather out of place. They’d probably do better at Bira or Kaeng Krachan.
